Shipping and returns

When does my pre-order ship?

The A-01 goes into production once the run is funded, and pairs ship from 30 September 2026. You are charged when you order, because the pre-orders are what pay the factory. We will email you the day your pair enters manufacturing, and again when it is posted.

What does shipping cost?

Nothing. It is included in the $70, wherever we ship. We currently ship to the US, Canada, the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and much of western Europe. If your country is not in the checkout list, email us — if we can reach you, we will add it.

Can I return them?

Yes, for 30 days from delivery, for any reason including "I changed my mind." Wear them indoors, walk around, decide properly. Send them back in a condition where we would not be embarrassed to inspect them and we refund the full $70. Return postage is on us if the fit is wrong or something is faulty.

Can I cancel a pre-order before it ships?

Yes. Any time before your pair enters production, email us and we refund you in full, no questions. Once a pair is made to your size it becomes a normal order and the 30-day return window applies instead.

Sizing

There are only three sizes. Will they fit me?

S covers US 7–8, M covers US 9–10, L covers US 11–12. The knit collar and the elastic gusset do the accommodating, which is how a shoe with no laces still fits a range. Take the smaller size if you are between two — the collar gives, the length does not.

Will a laceless shoe actually stay on?

That was the first problem we had to solve. The tongue is welded into the sides of the vamp with an elastic gusset, so the whole throat becomes one tensioned surface across your instep. There is also deliberate interference through the midfoot, about 1.3 mm, which is what holds the shoe rather than a lace.

What are they not good for?

Distance running and lateral court sport. A laceless collar cannot be tightened, so if you need to crank a shoe down before a session, this is the wrong shoe and we would rather tell you now.

Care

Can I really machine wash them?

Yes. Cold cycle, mesh bag, sockliner taken out and washed separately. There is no exterior stitching anywhere on the shoe, so there is no seam to fail in the drum.

Then what?

Air dry only. Heat delaminates the welded overlays and warps the EVA. No tumble dryer, no radiator, no hot car dashboard. This is the one instruction that will actually cost you a pair of shoes if you ignore it.

Being straight with you: washability is how the shoe is built, not a tested result. We have not yet run a production sample to destruction in a machine. When we have, the number goes on this page.

Payment

How can I pay?

Apple Pay, Google Pay, and any credit or debit card. Checkout is handled by Stripe, so your card details go to them and never touch our servers — we only ever see the last four digits and the outcome.

Is my pre-order money safe?

Your payment sits with Stripe under normal card rules, which means you keep your chargeback rights with your bank. If we never ship, you are not relying on our goodwill to get your money back.

The brand

Is this a dropshipper?

No. The A-01 was designed from a parametric 3D model that we built, which is where every image on this site comes from. The construction breakdown lists all seven components and which two need hard tooling. A reseller cannot show you that because they do not have it.

Why are there no reviews?

Because nobody has worn them yet. We are not going to manufacture some. When real ones exist, they will go up including the unflattering ones.
